The SRFI follows norms laid down by Government of India & Indian Olympic Association with regard to squash players representing India at major championships.

Listed below are a few broad based criteria:

• Coaching camps / selection trials may be conducted by SRFI for selecting players to participate in international tournaments. Participation is compulsory for eventual selection or participation in the championship; however, exemptions may be permitted at SRFI’s discretion.
• For seniors, participation in major events representing India, entries will be restricted to players ranked top 4 in PSA / if SRFI rankings are to be considered, it will be as on the closing date of entries.
• For junior individual events, performance at the selection trials / camps (semi-finalists at the junior nationals in their respective categories and players ranked top 4 in the SRFI rankings will be invited; however, the SRFI reserves the right to invite other deserving Indian citizens for selection trials).

The SRFI will try to obtain financial assistance from the Govt. of India or sponsors for the participation of International Championships. In the event we do not receive the approval from the govt. players would have to pay all expenses.

Amendments to the above may be made at the discretion of the SRFI selection committee. The committee shall consist of the President / Secretary General of the federation, National Coach, an eminent ex – sportsperson and 1 other person appointed by the President / Secretary General of the federation.
