The success at the Asian Games Incheon had its echoes in the important official corridors in New Delhi. Setting aside protocol, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi took time off from his busy schedule to meet up with the members of the Indian Squash team who had come home with a rich haul of four medals including a gold and two silvers. The occasion was a felicitation to the heroes of the Asian Games.
Except for Saurav Ghosal, the rest _Kush kumar, Mahesh Mangaonkar, Dipika Pallikal, Anaka Alankamony, Joshna Chinappa, Aparajitha Balamurukan and Harinder Pal Sandhu _ were in attendance at the function where the Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was also present.
The players were thrilled to meet the Prime Minister and interact with him. The Prime Minister too had a word of praise and encouragement for each player.
