Bielska-biala (Poland): The boy's team competition in the World junior squash championship gets underway here tomorrow. India is seeded fourth and placed in pool D alongwith New Zealand, Argentina and Poland. In all 21 countries are participating in this phase.
India will be served by Velavan Senthilkumar, Abhay Singh, Adithya Raghavan and Ranjit Singh. In the individual competition, Velavan was the only one to go up to the quarterfinal round. The hopes are again on his good touch and how he will be able to inspire the rest.
Considering the strength of the others in the Pool, the national coach Cyrus Poncha said that in his assessment, India should be able to top the group, in which case it would play England, USA or Malaysia in the quarterfinal. On the last occasion in Namibia, India had finished 6th after getting beaten by Spain in the quarterfinal.
